I wish the GPU was a lot better. But, for this price, you also get the blu-ray player, and the core i7 which is not too bad. :)

    Wow, that's a great deal.

I agree, wish the GPU was at least a 260M, but for the price.. that's a fantastic deal.

Solid 'Bang-for-the-Buck', it's on sale now at NewEgg! It will be interesting to see what other 8940G models will become available. I am thinking of buying one of these, as a pacifier, until an i7 GDDR5 Crossfire model is on the horizon.

Have you ever seen a 250M with gddr5? Why would you expect it to have ddr5?

This machine definitely has good specifications for the money. Its best use is probably as a home multimedia machine. It is very suitable for gaming with the GTS 250M (96 cores) though for strict gaming, gamers are probably better off going with a similarly-priced ASUS machine with a GTX 260M.

Lol, go to Toshiba Forum and check the X500. Also they had an article about it here on the news forum.

I like this notebook but would rather take the Toshiba X500. It has SSD, DDR5, and 6GB DDR3. That being said it is more expensive. This is a good deal though i wouldnt fault anyone for picking this up.

Its no wonder that Acer is going straight to the top to being the largest PC manufacturer in the world. Good for them.

Just hope it will still stay cheap once it hit the norwegian market.
