If it includes a good quality matte HD+ display then it would widen the purchasing options. However, another key concern must be whether Acer have created a cooling system that will fit in the thin chassis and dispose of the CPU heat quietly and without CPU throttling.

If it is like the 8481G "beta", it will have a matte screen, and dual cooling (like the 3820TG).
Keyboard (from what I can tell) is the same found on 3810, 3820, 4820 etc, and is a pretty good keyboard without flex (or very little).

If it comes with a matte screen and reasonable cooling and a solid build quality, this machine is a warm welcome for us in Europe whom are in the market for a business class laptop, given that it follows Acers previous pricing policy. Although Dell offers some pretty good deals, it's nice with some diversity.

Atleast here in Norway, basically all Lenovo notebooks (X/T lines) are off limits unless you wish to spend $3000++ for a good machine. HP is a bit more expensive than dell from my experience, cheaper than Lenovo, but still rather pricey.

    Looking forward to some reviews/hands-on.

EDIT: Is there already an Acer TravelMate 8481 on the market? Thus making the "T" in the name the new laptop? Reason why I ask is because it said release date was early September, and I just found the Acer 8481 (no T behind the name) here in Norway at one of our biggest online electronic suppliers.
Heres a link, although it's all in Norwegian.
