Hi, 4402 guys!
I need advice. Should i reconsider updating bios of my 4402? I have 1.09 now. On the Acer website 1.18 avaliable, but no changelog included. Anyone tried to flash it?

Hm . . . I remember that when I originally got my TM4402, the memory only ran at 266MHz - I flashed to BIOS [I think it was to 1.11? or something around there] and it ran at 333MHz, like it is supposed to.
Odd that it wouldn't include a changelog. Have you looked on a couple of Acer's sites in different countries? -
Bios for 4400 is only on panam site (v1.18, no changelog) and on euro site (v 1.13 with changelog)

Hi guys, I think about buying ACER TM4402WLMi but I'm not sure where to buy it because it is my first time to buy notebook. Chazman you've told that ZipZoomFly is cheaper than Newegg but in ZZF it costs $1155 and at Newegg $1139. What about tax in ZZF ? Thanks for any help.
Sorry I've just checked that in ZZF there is 4404 model(better)
Can someone explain me the tax thing ?? If there is price $1155 will I pay it or more ? -

Remember that I posted this review a LONG time ago, back in August '05. So, the prices have changed.
If you plan on buying this laptop, keep in mind that you can't return it to ZZF, Newegg's policy sucks too.
Tax is only in certain states, same with Newegg. . -
So if I'm in Chicago I won't pay any tax ?

A new bios reachable from ftp.support.acer-euro.com only! (not in the www pages..)
<Bios v1.20>
1. update M26 VBIOS to 0010000P.
2. Add CF to IDE card Boot.
3. Reduce M26-64 VRAM clock from 330MHz to 300MHz
4. M24/UMA modify the version to sync.
It's a small backstep, i mean 330mhz->30mhz
