Wow, very impressive.
Upon researching a bit on that screen, it is an IPS screen with a 7ms response time and 72% NTSC color gamut. What I couldn't find out though is if it's matte or glossy but I'm almost certain that it's matte. I miss glossy screens.
Edit: Nevermind, I checked it out on HIDevolution's site and at the bottom it says:

Agreed. I find it most interesting the screen is IPS.
For gaming I like the 17.3-inch 1080p TN panel that MSI has been putting in its GT series notebooks. The one with G-Sync, 120Hz refresh rate, and 94 percent NTSC. I believe the response time of that panel is a little lower than the one on this Asus.
I'm sure the one on the Asus looks great though.

Yes the Chi Mei N173HHE-G32 17.3" FHD 120 Hz/5ms Screen [G-SYNC] in the MSI GT73VR Titan Pro that I have is one of the best screens that I've had on a laptop in the past few years. The colors are very vivid and it has a high color accuracy. Doesn't feel like those washed out TN and/or matte panels that I've seen on other laptops. The GT75VR Titan Pro has that same screen model although MSI claims that its response time is now 3ms instead of the 5ms on the GT73VR Titan Pro.Charles P. Jefferies likes this. -

Didn't someone here on NBR already buy this taptop and it turned out to be an expensive Throttlebook?

Impressive by Asus, one can only hope it lives up to the hype. There are a lot of gamers out there looking for a screen just like this.
