What if you buy a notebook and then find out that the new generation of CPUs can double as a pop dispenser with unlimited synthesis abilities?

That's a risk I'll just have to be willing to take (though the pop dispensing feature could potentially save me some money).

You have been using a P4 2.8GHz for how long? Another year won't hurt. And maybe another year after that. And so on.

I remember knowing so little about laptops 5.5 yrs ago when I bought it from Best Buy. I wanted to get a good one that would last...if only I had known how long it would last, I may have bought something else!

The latest word is that the Sandy Bridge CPUs will go into production at the end of 2010 so we may be looking at the same scenario as with Arrandale: the CPUs show up at the beginning of January (so still Q1 2011, but just barely).
