you lost me at TN display...

A lot of IPS displays suffer from ghosting, including the IPS display used on the Alienware 15 (plus my VAIO Duo 11, plus the XPS 12, etc etc etc). On a gaming rig, I'd much rather have narrower viewing angles with no ghosting than wider viewing angles with ghosting.

Is there anything to test ghosting specifically? I don't know if I have just had great luck or I am too blind to notice it. I currently use a 1440p IPS display for my desktop gaming and have an alienware 13 with the 1440p screen in transit that I plan to use as my mobile rig. Sure, gaming is not my first priority, but for colors/viewing angles/brightness, I love IPS displays. I will admit though, a good TN panel is not as bad as I had previously thought (possibly screen brainwashed). I have been using a MBA 13 with a TN panel and found it quite nice.
