(view large image)Another nice aspect of the S2210 is that you the optical drive is a modular bay so it can be removed to reduce weight, switched with another optical drive, or be used as a second hard drive or bay battery.
(view large image)While Fujitsu is touting the AMD dual-core processor as a powerful option, it'd be nice if they offered this same machine with Intel Core 2 Duo as well. Unfortunately, Fujitsu has discontinued their Intel powered 13.3" screen LifeBook S6240 notebook in North America and Europe, it is only available in Asia.
Pricing and Availability
The LifeBook S2210 is available now from Fujitsu.com and starts at $1,299.

I've a feeling that you can't wait to try out one of these babies right?
-
This is very good. The S2110 was dying from a 2 year old processor and GPU (even though it was still better than GMA), this update seems like a logical one.
Pulling the S6 out of the market was a good desicion, it overlapped the S7 and the S2 for almost everything, and it cost more than both. -

I'm surprised that it isn't widescreen considering the fact that a lot of the notebooks are shifting to widescreen nowadays. I guess enough people demanded the traditional 4:3 aspect ratio for fujitsu to use it
-
No widescreen and Intel C2D processor ruined it for me.
-
Why can't you buy Fujitsu Siemens notebooks in the US when you can buy Fujitsu Lifebooks?
-
-
How's the quality of Fujitsu notebooks?
-
What's the chipset of this thing?
And 2.5h is way too short. But from my experience with desktops, athelons undervolt way lower than core2 duo. I've never had the chance to try with a turion x2 though.
Widescreen doesn't make sense for anything less than a 19" monitor. Laptops are enough of an ergonomic dissaster as it is, if i have to look down even further because of the lack of heigh in widescreen, i'll break my neck by 40. -
