The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    A 1.6GHz processor? I'd guess Atom Z530.

Which sucks, because there's still a large contigent of people who would want one, despite all the press bashing it BEFORE it even came out, claming that because it wasn't essentially a simplistic grid of X by X icons on a screen that it would fail. Not everyone wants an ipad (or ipad like device running a mobile os) but sadly everyone seems to have scrapped their Windows 7 slate ideas to go with mobile OS's, just because Apple did and predictably cornered the market (with glowing praise from the Kool-Aid lovin' press, nontheless) with it's unitasking, hobbled, closed ecosystem giant iPod touch.

    PT Barnum would be proud.
