Excessive reflections from glossy notebook computer screens may soon be a thing of the past thanks to a new product from Nippon Electric Glass (NEG).

Clean lines of borderless displays combined with anti-reflection matte panels? That'd be nice--Thinkpad X2, anyone? Thanks for the tip, Charles ;)

Combine that with Samsung's transparent display and that could be pretty cool. :)

Knowing the manufacturers, they'll just jack up the prices for laptops with this "special glass" :( Any reason to make more money, more profit in this economy by excessively charging customers for even the littlest thing.

But on topic: That's really good technology. I'm not sure if it should have come out earlier or not...or if it's brand new.

tbh, its fine if they raise the price. I would like to see it on every laptop so I had more choice, but my money will be going to people who adapt the new technology.

thanks for the link to the source, missed that somehow.
