Limited Edition Olympic Branded ThinkPad in Japan (pics)

The Winter Olympics are coming up in Turino Italy and Lenovo is a sponsor. As such they've released an Olympic rings branded ThinkPad Z60t and Z60m in Japan. As an added bonus, the Googletranslated English is quite entertaining reading on the website Lenovo Japan has for this offering.

The image is so small we can't tell if it's an Olympic ring sticker or engraving on the lid, but Lenovo Japan insists the actual product you get might not look like the picture (which is an image!)

I'm sure glad the "mark of fingerprint is difficult to be attached", just like the usual Z60t/Z60m. Later on we find the Z60 Olympic edition will thankfully come with an "endoskeleton" Roll Cage. That term sounds a bit too biological to be attributed to a laptop to me, but hey what do I know? "Flexion of the substance" is just completely beyond me.

Either way, these ThinkPads are not available in the U.S. at the moment but if you're in Japan look for them to be available Jan. 31st.

 

I've got to say, that branding is really lame, oh well, I guess they wanted a subtle look.

 

A tiny Olympic Chain logo. Whoopie. o.o; I'd much perfer the standard colorful 'Thinkpad' branding up in the corner.

 

I agree - that logo is pretty small/dinky if you ask me.

 

Word is, we should be seeing this in the US too at some point.

 

how about gold, silver, and bronze tint for the lid, depending on mood.
