Each month we compile data for the number of times a particular notebook is viewed on this site's product pages to get an idea for what mainstream consumers are looking at and thinking about buying. Take a closer look at the notebooks that our visitors wanted to see the most during the month of April.

Lenovo has 3 of the top 10, and 6 of the top 20, not bad. :)

Yes, Lenovo makes great notebooks. The biggest problem in terms of US sales is that average consumers here in the US (people who aren't tech enthusiasts) still aren't very familiar with Lenovo. I'm sure that will change over time ... particularly when you look at the quality of most Lenovo notebooks and look at Lenovo's sales figures worldwide.

It's just sad when I tell someone, "You should consider buying a Lenovo for your next laptop." And they reply, "What's Lenovo?"

I'm quite familiar with Lenovo laptops (or, as some people still think of them, ex-IBM laptops) but that has always been on the strength of the T and W series. I was very impressed with the deals on the the G570 and G470, especially considering their specifications and durability, even with the lower end mainstream-centric build quality.

I suspect that with the release of the discrete graphic versions (G580 and G480), they may be able to bump the HP from the top spot if they can capture the price point.

Truth. I ran into this A LOT when I was talking the firm into getting a ThinkPad E420 as our inexpensive office-loaner-laptop. Eventually prevailed and we got it. Best $500 we could have spent in my opinion.

I've stopped praising Lenovo until they agree that the white blobs that have progressively developed on the screen of my T420s are their problem, not mine.

I can see a couple of Samsung threads in the most popular thread list. How long before the Samsung notebooks get into the most popular notebook charts?

    Ouch!

What's really sad is that Dell has only one laptop on the top 10 and another four in the top 20. Nothing from the Alienware division either. They've fallen a long way for HP and Lenovo to be showing up more often and in higher positions. I wonder how total sales volume compares between all these companies?
