Each month we compile data for the number of times a particular notebook is viewed on this site's product pages to get an idea for what mainstream consumers are looking at and thinking about buying. While these laptops aren't necessarily the most popular in terms of sales, they are the most popular based on the number of times our visitors clicked on them.

Wow, Thinkpads sure have been popular lately. I'm surprised the Alienware m11x wasn't the #1 spot. >.>

I was at my local Best Buy (Lincoln, NE) and saw the ASUS G73JH-A2 for the first time. DAMN that thing is big. Didn't realize how thick it was when looking at the NBR review article. I know the thing remains really cool for what it has underneath the hood but it doesnt seem to have much in the means of style when you add that much junk in the trunk. :D

I would say the t400/t500 series did ALOT for lenovo. Brought them into the mainstream when they offered business class build quality and ruggedness as well as great all around performance for a competitive price. So summer 2008 is around the time thinkpads were in fashion.

I'm surprised the G550 kepts its #1 spot though. While it is a Lenovo laptop and is still well built, it's not anywhere near Thinkpad level of durability.

But then again, in the 500$ range, it's arguably one of the best picks ^_^

It's also the only current Lenovo I've ever seen in brick and mortar shops around here.
