The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

Each month we compile data for the number of times a particular notebook is viewed on this site's product pages to get an idea for what mainstream consumers are looking at and thinking about buying. Take a closer look at the notebooks that our visitors wanted to see the most during the month of May.

I found it interesting that 8 of Top 20 Threads dealt directly with the M11x. Another 5 related to M15x and/or M17x.

Yet only M11x made it to the top 20 of "most popular laptops". In fact, I don't think there is any other top 20 popular thread about the other top 10 popular laptops.

EDIT: OK, there is one about G73jh, but nothing else.

That's why it says it isn't really anything other than which laptops' product pages got clicked on the most at notebookreview.com.

There used to be a time when the basis for the most popular threads was that they had to have been started during the month. It was then easy to count the number of views.

This thread falls into that category. This thread, on the other hand, was started in 2009 and, as I write this, the total views stands at 85,219. I have trouble in believing that 84442 views of this thread were during the month of May and the remaining 777 before or since.

Perhaps Kevin can clarify the methodology used to determine the most viewed threads?

A lot of those large threads were moved to new forums from old ones so that may have thrown off the count.

Yeah I suggested it to my co-worker and he likes it too ^^

Given the price range it's a solid computer.
