    Netbook Shipments to Reach 50 million Next Year

    Acer chairmen JT Wang said in a DigiTimes report that global netbook shipments are expected to reach 50 million units in 2010, or about 25% of the total notebook market. He predicts that the notebook market will reach 170 million units this year, and the netbook market 25-30 million. Wang says Acer will have 40-50% of the netbook market share.

    which means acer will likely ship 50m netbooks (equivalent of 10m dell studio 17 or 5m m6400) in 2010.
