Compaq X6000 Shows upon HP Website Help Section - Presario X6070 and X6050
A while ago we reported on the pending release of the Compaq PresarioX6000 series of Notebooks that would feature a 17" widescreen and be similar to the HP Pavilion zd7000 and zd8000 line of notebooks. Well, the X6000 has finally appeared on the HP website in a round about way. If you search their site you will find that in the Help section that includes such things as driver downloads there is a Presario X6000 series listed. Here's the link to that

And you will see that the two model names will be X6050us and X6070us. Unfortunately, there are no product specs and not much useful information in this help section. But this is a confirmation that this notebook has to be showing up soon on the HP website. So keep an eye on it!

Apple to Open Store in Toronto
Apple this past weekend opened a store in London, it is their first store on that side of the Atlantic. Apple has several stores in the U.S. at this point, but they kind of forgot about the Canadians to the North. No longer, the drought will end in Summer 2005 for the presence of an Apple retail store in Canada. Toronto will be the first city there to feature an Apple store. Several more are likely to open in Europe.
