Nokia Unveils its First Netbook, Booklet 3G
    [IMG]
Nokia today unveiled its first netbook, the Booklet 3G. Like other netbooks it will run Microsoft Windows XP, not Symbian or Maemo like traditional Nokia devices. The Booklet 3G will have a 10.1-inch HD display and an HDMI out port. It will weigh 2.2 pounds (1 kg) and measure only 0.8 inches (2 cm) thin. The Booklet 3G will have HSPA mobile broadband, WiFi, Bluetooth, a GPS receiver, and hot-swappable SIM card support.

A release date and pricing have not been announced, but Nokia has said it will unveil more at the September 2 Nokia World conference.

I saw this an it really took me off guard.

The design is sweet though and Nokia makes VERY reliable products this may actually end up being good. Good luck to them.

I hear the battery life is suppose to over 9 hours which is positive to hear.

I notice it has an HDMI port does the intel gma950 even support hdmi/hd res? Do they mean A-GPS receiver or a GPS receiver?

12 hour battery life is impressive, and I kind of want to get one but have to need for one.

    Aluminum costs extra. ;)

I'm guessing this netbook's price will come packaged as part of some wireless internet plan?

I would think that this would cost less once you factor in carrier subsidies.

Just a wrong prediction. It's the classic mistake of converting euros to dollars. Computer prices don't work that way.

I agree, it's the best deal at the moment. An ultraportable at an almost netbook price.

Neat looking! I'm diggin' the white!

But I hope it already comes with a decent SSD... 12 hours is a long shot, IMHO. :D

Hope once it's released the price is reasonable enough for a netbook...

I still reckon 600 bucks for this machine is too expensive in terms of what you get under the hood but it does look nice
