Noreve's 17" Universal Laptop Briefcase is a first-generation sleek briefcase style bag with a shoulder strap. Noreve, a Frenchhigh-quality case designer company, released this bag in January of 2006 with the thought of comfort and security mixed with elegance and style. It is definitely one of thenicest bags I have seen.

    Design:

The Universal laptop briefcasesize and designis, as the name suggests, more like that of a briefcase than a conventional laptop bag. This bag is made for carrying everything an executive or traveling office worker could want. From its adjustable shoulder strap to its carrying handle, comfort is the key. The convenience of a quick pickup and carry top handle is great for anyone in a hurry.

The Norevelaptop briefcase is made with great care and quality. From its elegant leather exterior with brushed metal clasp to the silky smooth cloth interior. The style of this case is definitely eye-catching.

This bag is versatile in that with the 17" briefcase you could carry a smaller notebook and all the adapters just in the notebook compartment. Which is great for someone who has a lot of paperwork to carry around.

    • Padded leather handle for carrying as a briefcase
    • Heavily padded leather should-strap with adjustable length

    Quality:

This laptop briefcase just screams quality craftsmanship and design. It's handcrafted in top grain genuine leather, and that flare for design that the French are known to haveis apparent in this product. The stitching is superb from the inside out. The thick padding will protect your laptop from almost anything you can throw at it.

    Personal Experience:

This bag is actually one of the most comfortable bags I have ever handled. I took it out for a test run by walking from my workplace toa nearby shopping mall, a total of about .5 miles. The bag was very comfortable for carrying on my shoulder this distance. The strap was awesome; I didn't feel the strap digging into my shoulder at all. Granted, I am a little bigger than most, but usually I have problems carrying things on my shoulder for long periods of time, this was not the case here.

On the way back from the mall I carried it by the handle, which again, I had no problems with andfound it to bevery comfortable. While using the handle, the shoulderstrap hides away perfectly in the bottom of the bagsinner pocket, with almost no loss of space.

My co-workers were amazed that there was such a high quality, versatile briefcase that could carry my "gigantic" 17-inchnotebook with no problems and still be comfortable. Other than the cost, they said they would gladly purchase one.

    Style:

This bag is going to be perfect for anyone working in an office environment, from the everyday office worker to the top-level executive.

    Conclusion:

The 17" Universal Notebook Briefcase by Noreve is the best bag I have seen and used. Everything from the interior space to the exterior craftsmanship goes well beyond anything you get atyour averagecomputer store. This bag is definitely meant to turn heads yet still have great functionality. Comfort is unsurpassed, especially for those people carrying the heavy weight of a larger notebook and business documents. Keep up with the good work Noreve!

    Cost and availability:

This notebook briefcase is available at Noreve for the cost of 209.99 Euros. International shipping is great and only costs the customer about $6.50.

The laptop Briefcase is also available in 12" and 15" and in colors: Black, Camel (Deep Tan), Pink and Sandy Vintage.

as the French might say, ooo la la, c'est un joli sac :) (a pretty bag)

$6.50 for shipping from France? I can't even get that cheap a shipping amount for some light-weight clothing I buy online within the U.S. That cheap shipping makes the higher overall price of the bag easier to digest. That 200 Euros equates to about $300 I think, but for a premium bag that doubles as a briefcase that's actually pretty normal.

I'm sure you looked rather posh walking around a mall with a leather briefcase. ;)

Actually it is not too heavy. This one feels lighter than my Targus bag, mostly because the padding on the handles is alot better. :)

    This bag was awesome!

Shipping is great because they ship it priority, from what I have read and that is how mine came. :) Which isn't bad 3-5 day delivery from France ;)

    Thanks for the props! :)

Nice review. I've known Noreve for a long time. They make top-quality PDA cases. Their notebook efforts are young, but it's clear they're still using high end materials to make great looking products. Well done Noreve.

And I was hoping for Hot Pink ;)

Awesome review, I find my 15" in my 15" bag digs into my shoulder even(after a while), for a 17" bag with a 17" not to do that, wow!

I know...the padding on the shoulder strap had to be like at least 1/2" thick. It was awesome. I love this bag. :)

USAFdude02, do you know what sandy vintage colour is? do all colours cost the same? i guess €209.99 is a lil bit expensive for laptop case. if i convert that plus delivery cost to australian dollar i guess i can buy a new desktop pc :D but then again its all about quality and material used that matter.

    good choice!!!
