Am not actually going to review it, since a very good and extensive review has already been done by abaxter here:

    Thoughts:
Lid has no lock, and the automatic hinges do a terrible job at keeping the LCD flush against the base of the

laptop, meaning unless you have a tight sleeve one, as you are transporting the laptop, your LCD will enjoy

constant banging and bouncing on the base. The hinges do however do a great job of accelerating the screen and

smacking it hard right into the laptop, unless you remember to be real careful and not let go.

Like other Vaios, none of the functionality controls (brightness, sound etc..) work unless you install the drivers.

No manual volume knob on the lappy

    S-video? Hahaha ya ok.

Iffy dvdrw drive, refused to read scratched up 'Sony' dvdrw disc (onto which i burnt the drivers 2 mins before the

fact), where as 4 other PCs could read it, as well as 2 Xboxes.

    Other than that, decent lappy.

Very nice images! We appreciate your feedback very much :)

I am glad to see that it didn't come with that much bloatware, compared to a Dell, etc. I would hope it wouldn't be too! Sony's cost a lot of money.

Congrats on your new machine. :D

hey T10, thanks for all those pics...we had a limit of 5 image tags per post in place. I've removed this and we'll see how it goes, it was mostly in place to be friendly to the 56k'ers out there still ;)

    Thanks abaxter :p :D

ChazMan421, yeah, all that stuff on the Sony is like a clean DOS install compared to what I saw on the Toshiba. The boot time was well over 3 mins (with the bloat), and the running task bar icons were into 3/4th of the screen length. My jaw dropped when I saw it lol.

Thought I would mention, that I was slightly harsh on the lack of s-video.

I just found out that the mini line-out jack on this machine is actually a video RCA out + L/R audio (basically same thing as most digicams use).
