    I pity the fool who thinks glasses-free 3D will be here soon. Toshiba just announced the world's first 3D monocle for people who hate those pesky 3D glasses.

    Why would Toshiba make a monocle if they are the first ones with 3d screens that don't require any glasses at all.

    by the specs of that monocle i'd assume you'll enter an unknown fourth dimension similar to the matrix - but only after you realize that it's "this" time of year ;-)

    It's amazing that we can have 3 dimensions in one eye. Turn that into a pair of glasses and we'll be seeing in 6D in no time!

    This was an Aprils Fools joke. I am surprised all of you thought this was true. Hope NBR realized it was an Aprils fools joke and did not post it thinking it to be true. Judging by the tone of the post, i think they knew

    My remark about adding two of these to make 6D was an addition to the joke... :)

    Obviously we can't see 6D, and whichever technology we use, we'll need to use both eyes to see 3D.
