[IMG]If you're a business traveler who needs to give presentations to clients in a small office space then you probably wish you had a second screen to share with others while you work on your own laptop screen. Toshiba comes to the rescue with its USB Mobile Monitor: a 14-inch LCD perfect for on-the-spot presentations or multi-screen multitasking. Keep reading to find out if a second laptop monitor really is more useful than a projector.

Interesting product. Maybe they could add this 'feature' to any abundantly available IPS tablets.

2.8 lbs??? That's quite a lot for just the monitor. There are 14" laptops below 4lbs.

Max. Native Resolution: 1366 x 768 Display Color: 256,000. Really? There are 1600x900 14" laptops. This is a big big "meh".

Shave off another .5-.7lbs, make it IPS and we can talk.

This would be great for ATI video card "eyefinity" feature, if you only own a gaming laptop.

I assume that is basically a usb-connected VGA adapter, so the question is how fast is it?

I've seen reviews some of the earlier models that could not scroll smoothly or play fullscreen video without issues but basic tasks as spreadsheets worked fine. Usb 2.0 bandwidth was blamed then.

I could use this if it had a VGA connector. I am a field tech and often have to take a monitor with me to check headless/monitor-less servers.

As someone else mentioned, I'd love to see an adapter and option on a lot of tablets to use them as a portible display. ( sorry to go off topic, but this limited feature set /innovation is why I look forward to open source products. )
