    The article says "SATA III" (which is 6 Gb/sec). I'm certain that is a mistake and should be "SATA II" (which is 3 Gb/sec). The Scorpion Blue drives are all SATA II drives.

    As for the announcement itself: GREAT NEWS!

    I'll definitely look at this instead of the 1TB Samsung.

    My... I'd love to buy a WD over a Samsung, but that's a 40% higher price... Will need to give this some thought.

    WD has the brand name but the Samsung is a pretty good performer, has 5 year warranty and it's cheaper.
