I think I am going to stick to WMP or QuickPlay for that. iTunes is my music software, and I like it, but for movies, hmmm I am going to pass. -

Another reason for the high system requirements is that Quicktime for Windows is not well-optimized.
And regarding Amazon's movie service... Amazon actually gives you the option to download the movie if you prefer that over streaming it. (However, Amazon's HD video at the moment appears to be just TV shows; their movies right now are SD only from what I can see.)
Anyway, I agree that iTunes is probably the best online HD Movie rental service around, if your computer can handle the playback well. Unfortunately, mine can't. -

Excellent review, Jay. I have been using iTunes for years, it's a good piece of software in my experience. I have rented movies before and it's easy. Some movies aren't available for renting unfortunately; I wouldn't buy a movie on there because AFAIK there's still no way to burn it to DVD.
