MORE! But, I went a little all out with customization. He does some interesting cover work, and the carbon fiber palm rest are awesome.

Guaranteed pricing, no more than $4,253.00, 'Out-the-Door'.

Give 'em a call..... 920-205-0110. Mark seems to be really SUPER people, and he spent about two hours with me on the phone. He listens, VERY customer oriented, and it's refreshing to chat with someone so good at their game!

    ENJOY! :)

K|N must be overpriced man. I'm sorry, but it's true. The point of these ATi cards is to not spend $4k on a gaming notebook anymore. Anyway, back on topic...

Nah, I won't be greedy. If I can get something stronger than the 9800M GTX at half the cost of a 9800M GT, in my M860TU, I'll be more than happy.

Actually, K|N is reasonable.. the difference being, they do these tweaks, mods, carbon fibers, etc. Those are where you rack up the cost. But, TBH, it seems like Mark is really on top of his game. I don't think he's the smartest business man, and he has a bad temper, and often loses respect with childish antics..but he does put his "all" into his rigs. Gotta give it to the guy, he's a tweaker with a business. Props for that.

EDIT: Did I really just half-compliment Mark? Eh.. props to ya loud-mouth. ;)

WOW! What is this..... Family Feud? Didn't mean to stir up a hornet's nest here guys, but actually E-wrecked, I believe you DID just pay Mark a compliment. :D

I can not speak to any of the things I am now reading, but from a customer's point of view, I did get a sense that I will be satisfied, and that support will be there if needed. Customer loyalty has to be earned of course, but for now, I am very comfortable in my experience with K|N.

Regarding the costly "tweaks, mods, carbon fibers, etc", these are some of the personalized (one-of-a-kind feel) features I am willing to pay for..... and the same can be said for one-on-one customer service.

Again, CAN'T WAIT for my new K|N Nagamaki 4870 notebook! ;) VERY COOL! (for now)

Congrats on the purchase man, you'll be very pleased all the way around I'm sure. :) And the "costly" features..that's the same reason most people go that route. I mean hell, if you're gonna spend $3k on a rig..ya may as well spend $4k if you intend to keep it for a while. Higher resale value also. ;)

I wasn't trying to start anything negative. I know that just the mere mention of K|N around here is seen as trolling, but I'm too old for that stuff. I'll voice an opinions on anyone's business, and I'll just leave it at that. Nothing personal.

I remember E-Wrecked getting heavily flamed for that "why I bought from xoticpc" thread he started hehe.

lol.. I did indeed. I have since realized I dont belong in the middle.. I didn't even know what I was in the middle of until it was too late. I was just upset that Mark banned me from GoG for embarrassing some folks ;) Oh..and for turning away a potential client(me) ;P

EDIT: I kinda miss the good ol' flame wars - this thread has been a lot more quiet since we stopped the banter and arguing. *sighs* oh well...

Did they take down the pre-order page? I went to K|N's webpage and couldn't find anything where I could preorder the Nagamaki with the 4870's. Or do I need to call them up?

    Hey LaptopFTW,

Yeah, as I mentioned earlier, I had called and spoke with Mark a couple of hours. He did mentioned he needed to do some updating to his website. I would call, because he may just be doing this on a case-by-case basis..... I am uncertain.

I went a little 'all out' on my config, but that's what I wanted. Overall, I'd say the call was worth it for me, because I feel certain I will be getting everything I want in a notebook. He has some really great ideas (very creative), and good things are coming down the pike.

    ENJOY! :)

    Hey plasma'

    How ya do'in?

Yep, I still have one, the AS8930G-6448...... I just want more! :D

The QC model of the 8930G turned out to be a big disappointment to me..... so I returned it. This is why I decided to spend a little more for something I know I will be happy with.

I couldn't resist the lure of the new 4870's, so I opted to go with K|N's Nagamaki. I feel certain this notebook is gonna be UNREAL! ;)

Well good luck when you do get it, hopefully ATI will have some good updated drivers by then.
