Hey guys, I've had an IFL90 with the matte WSXGA+ screen on order from Powernotebooks since the middle of July now. Basically, I heard from them that there is no sign of those screens coming in anytime soon, but they can ship the glossy 1440x900 screens in a couple days...

Can anyone who has the 1440x900 screens comment on their quality or if the gloss is noticeable during regular use? I was really looking forward to the matte screen, but I'm tempted by the possibility of having my laptop within the week. I don't mind downgrading the resolution, but I don't want a screen that doubles as a mirror.

The WXGA+ resolution screens have always been delayed since the release of the IFL-90 laptop; I guess just now they're coming into supply, so I highly doubt there's anyone that has the WXGA+ screen is able to comment upon it.

However, if trends continue with the IFL-90's screen, it should be of very high quality; I have the WSXGA+ screen and the colors are balanced and the contrast is excellent. :)

I've swapped my order from a WSXGA to a WXGA+, so I'm in the same boat as you =)

I originally ordered the Sager NP2090 with the WSXGA+ from powernotebooks back on 9/25 and when I called to check on the build status they told me of the back orders on this screen so I changed it to the WXGA+. After 2 days thinking about my decision I decided to wait for the WSXGA+ and I changed the order back. Not that I have a problem with the WXGA+ in fact I think the resolution Of 1440 X 900 is perfect for a 15.4 inch screen, but my gut told me to wait for the 1680 X 1050 matte screen. I just did not want to be sorry later on because of being impatient. I probably won't see my rig until Thanksgiving though.
Powernotebooks have been fantastic with my order, honest and upfront about the delays. I am very happy I chose them for my purchase.

    I'm waiting for ...

I was told by Sager that the 1440x900 are back-ordered. Was hoping they can switch my chassis to one that already has the 1440x900 screen since it was DOA and just got into their hands via RMA. :)

Ty (the tech there) is a very nice guy! Felt bad that mine was non-functional when I got it on day-one. Definatly a disappointing moment when you waited all this time for it to come and it didn't work when it finally arrives.
