New 177.26 just tried these with my Zepto and they seem to be very stable and alot better than 175.80.

I have my 8600gt clocked to:

    Core Clock - 644
    Shader Clock - 1288
    Memory Clock - 444

and have produced a score of 3911 in 3dmark06 1280 x1024, darent go higher.
    So far no crashes!

    Hi guys,
do you know of downclocking potential of this drivers? I mean in idle/2d mode.
I ask this because my machine gets into a collingpattern if you run it on lowest energyusage (which is quite normal but i want to improve XD):

    cpu @ 55° gpu @ 60°
    cpu @ 60° gpu @ 70°

starting temp runs with no noticable fans (i think loudest is case-fan/ the one next to the left grill).
after reaching the higher step it switches to speed 2 and cools back around temps1. then it goes agan.
so my current driver(175.80) clocks the card down to 275@Geometry/ 550@Shader/ 200@Memory (i think i already saw 100 for memory but not sure).
perhaps i can even disable some parts which arent required in 2d?

well, a benefit would already be if i could improve the time one cycle needs.

When using the drivers form laptopvideo2go, I find the powermizer works very well. Unfortunately my notebook thinks it is getting too hot at 70C and downclocks to standard 2D settings (169core, 100memory) which is kind of annoying as I'm used to seeing much higher temps with no problems on any driver pre 174.31.

i am using these drivers too, but my nb is getting hot, i get stuttering above >96 degrees. but when i monitor the clockrates, they still are the same as e.g. 80 degrees. so no downclocking occurs (rivatuner measurement). do you have these stuttering issues too?

I dont get any stuttering, ive downclocked from what i posted previously though and i get around the same temps.
