This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    2300 series recovery disc?

    The laptop I bought had ubuntu installed and no longer has the recovery partition :(. I remember seeing an rs link on averatecforums.com, but it looks like its down now. Anyone happen to have it bookmarked or mirrored? Or had experience ordering one from shopaveratec.com ?

    The 2370 disc will restore to Windows XP-MCE 2005, and the 2371 disc will restore to Windows Vista Home Premium. Now before you decide to grab the disc for your OS of choice, remember, the OS will only properly install if you have a valid OS license key. The key on the bottom of your notebook is only good for the specified OS.
