Hi all, long time no see for a few of you.
Anyway, I gave my 2370 to my sister to use at college after I replaced it with a new laptop. She brought it back to me after 6 or 8 months and there is no video. It appears to be booting up correctly, everything comes on and spins up, except there is nothing on the display.
I let it sit for about a month and then powered it up today and had video for a few minutes before I shut it down. Now, of course, there is no video again.
I found a good deal on the everex stepnote on buy.com, so I grabbed one of those and swapped the harddrives so she has that and hasn't lost any info.
I was just hoping to use this as a slackware machine or something if I could get the video back working.
So here is my question, does anyone know where the connection from the screen to the mobo is? I am hoping I can just reseat the connection and it will display properly again. And I'd really prefer not to tear it all apart just to snoop around, but I will if no one knows for sure.
Good to see you guys have found a home!

No video problem could be from bad memory, video card, lcd cable connection, or the lcd.
The only way to isolate lcd from anything else is connected your laptop to an external monitor. When it boots into windows, press Fn+F5 ( depend on your model) to switch the display to external monitor. If the external monitor has display, then you can think the problem is from LCD or its connection and start to find the problem from there. -
but thanks for the tips.
