I spilled water on the computer. Averatec repair(Fremont Tech) told me the repair will cost $350 including shipping. I'm not sure it's worth it. I have another computer and it seems foolish to repair a two year old laptop that only cost $900 two years ago. Any advice?

I made the same mistake and now I have bought a new laptop. Save up the money that you would use repairing it and get a new one. No point in putting money in a machine when you get a newer once for a few hundred more.

Thanks for the input. It's sometimes easier to make a decision when someone else agrees with you.

I totally agree...my AC adapter costed $155 on my wifes old laptop and we got it fixed. I have been regretting it ever since.

Could sell it for parts on ebay. At least make a little towards the next laptop.
