I have a 3200 series that I bought in June. A few months ago it started getting really hot and turning off. I e-mailed Averatec and they told me to blow into the fan. I did, but it's still doing it and now its making a horrible loud noise. Can anyone help????

Sounds like the fan is either dying or something is obstructing it. If you open the case to look, that voids your warranty. I'd send it in for repair.

I would agree that it is best to RMA the unit to Averatec. Back up all your data. HDD wipe is a ritual at the repair facility.

Also be prepared for a long seige. The company uses FedEx ground shipping. SLOW

I RMA's my 1020 twice in the first three months I had it. Each RMA took about one month.

    Good luck with your notebook.
