Alright, so i go to buy my 3270, and whaddayaknow, bureau en gros (office depot) doesn't carry them anymore. I have yet to see in other stores for the 3270, but i was wondering about the 3250. What are the differences?

I am aware of the different processor, but how do they compare? i noticed that the 3250 has more L2 cache, what would that mean as far as performance? Benchmark-wise, which is better? And i was actually able to hold the 3250, are they exactly the same physically (minus the card reader?). Both have the dvd burner, 512 ram, 80 gig hard drive.

So should i just go ahead and buy the 3250?[?]

The 3270 (all things considered) has a faster processor. Plus it has the multicard reader. Aside from that, the two models are virtually identical. I'd like to know how much the 3250 will run you before giving you any concrete advice; also, Sam's Club carries the 3270 for $900 and Ciruit City may have it back on sale for $800 in a week or two.

well here in montreal both are 1200$, but i can't seem to find the 3270 anymore.
This ultimately means that i would have to buy from the internet, and it'll end up costing more (we get dicounts with the store... 5% and i have a 15$ certificate... as well as tax back...).
    So are the differences significant?
Does either heat up? What about battery life?

I've fallen in love with a latop... so what???

They both produce about the same amount of heat; the 3270's battery life may be slightly less simply because it's a more powerful processor, but it would only be 10-15 minutes. If they're the same price, and that price isn't going to go up for any reason, I'd wait a little while and see if either the 3270 comes back or the 3250 goes on sale. However, if you need the laptop desperately, definately go ahead and get the 3250 rather than paying some 10+% more plus shipping for the 3270.
