    I would like to upgrade the Sempron in this hand me down 3700 to a full Tulrin MT. However, I have a funny suspicion the BIOS is going to be a problem since it seems Averatec has less than stellar consumer help/updates.

    I noticed some mentions of other brand laptops matching some Averatec laptops, and was wondering if possibly someone knows of the same for this model? As per to get an updated bios image to have fuller support.

    I dont know if that matches any model numbers you can think of.

    If all else fails, has someone attempted this before? I think I might be able to convince a local repair laptop shop to "Test" a spare tulrin cpu they might have to see if it even boots up correctly if I promise to buy one from them.
