    OK,
I have seen what the 400 series is all about, and i am leaning twoards them. They have much better processors, screens, are stylish, and have a few more ports as well as bettwer video and audio (at least on he 4200).

Assuming that my budget is around 1700$cdn (about 1500$ usd), should i go for the 400 seriers over the 3000? Also, this will be my main laptop for a few years at least, and i want something that will last.
Also, in the 400 series, which would i go for? I'm leaning towards the centrino sonoma one (4200) because (correct me if i'm wrong) i could upgrade the graphics card in the future if the need arises.

At the moment, I'm convinced that the 4200 is the right laptop for me. Is this a good decision?

I've fallen in love with a latop... so what???

I have not seen this laptop yet, but the specs are really good. Many people were waiting for these kinds of screens, along with a somehow good processor. The 4100 seems interresting, featuring the future amd turion 64 processor, which is the pentium-m version for AMD, with 64 bit. I'm waiting for the reviews of this new processor !
