I want to milk my GF's HGL30 for everything its worth so I was wondering if the HGL30 will support 4gb ram and even if it can't access it all will dual-channel properly work? Atm it has 3gb ram but runs asyncronous dual-channel which means only 2gb of ram is actually in dual-channel and the other gig runs single.

Also since my CPU is a T7200 with a 667mhz FSB will the HGL30 run 1:1 if I use DDRII-667?

And the final question, do you think it'd be worth the extra $10 to get a 4gb kit of Cas 4 DDRII-667 vs a Cas 5 4gb kit of DDRII-667? Its only $10 and even it it nets 1 FPS more in CoD4/5 then I'd consider it a win-win :)

OK... if you put 4gb of dual-channel RAM in your notebook it will run dual-channel even though the OS is 32-bit and will only see 3gb of it. The hardware on your notebook however is still able to use all 4gb of it even though XP will only use 3gb.

If you get DDR2-667 vs DDR2-800 it will be cheaper (hopefully) for a lower latency on the 667Mhz stuff. Since you only have the 667FSB anyway... Cas4 DDR2-667 will be fine. Not sure you will notice too much of a preformance increase however...

    Good luck!
