OEM version of Vista only allows activation of the OS 5 times. If i reach this limit, can I get a new version from Zepto?

If you ever reach an activation limit, you may always get it reactivated through microsoft telephone support as far as I remember.

I remember reading it somewhere, though I don't have a source right now.

But I think I'm just gonna go ahead and do a clean install. Since installing SP1 RC1, my computer's been acting weirdly

There is no activation limit. After a few automatic activations you will have to call up and activate over the phone. I have already activated my OEM Vista installation(acquired through the Vista express upgrade program) more than 7 times. The first 4 or 5 times it was automatic after that I had to call in to activate.

You can definately re-set your "limit" over the phone, thats the way it was with xp anyway. Just say your not using it for several computers and your good to go
