How can i connect some 5.1 speakers to the laptop ? Can i use the microphone input as output ? I really cant see how to do it ... =/
Thanks

do you have a headphone jack? try that.
-
Yes i do, but i need two outputs to connect to the speakers, or else it only will have 2.1 i guess. =/
The speakers are the x-530 from logitech. -

I think the only thing you can do is invest in an external sound card. I'm in the same boat, using my Klipsch promedia 5.1s as 2.1s...
-
That really sucks ... Are you sure we cant turn the mic input into an output ?
-
You can use X-Fi XpressCard plus 5.1 extension modul.
I personally have 5.1, but intend of buying sound card I preferred 2.0 Microlab Solo-6C speakers with much more descent sound compared to most low budget 2.1 and 5.1 systems. -
I tought i could do re-tasking, just like said here.
http://downturk.info/2007/12/26/realtek-high-definition-audio-driver.html
The newest version of the drivers should have:
"- All analog jacks are stereo input and output re-tasking for analog plug & play"
Am i wrong ? -
Yes, you can reassign the input to output. The problem lies in the fact that the FL90 can only do 4 channel High Definition audio to my understanding. Some people may misinterpret HD Surround Sound for 5.1 but this is not the case. I hope this has been helpful.

I've tried reassigning the ports, but I can't find anything that would let me do it (i've done it in the past on other laptops).
-
If anyone knows how to reassing please tell me, cause i still couldnt find the definitions where to change that.
Thanks -
Compal's Realtek chip is 2-channel audio IC.
So no can do.
5.1 + Fl90
