    Hi guys,

After purchasing speakers which were only compatible with a desktop PC sound card, I bought Logitech 5.1 speakers with a optical output:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-Di...a_1/203-1183923-8409553?ie=UTF8&s=electronics

However for some reason the zepto won't play through all 5 speakers. It only plays through 2 of the speakers, and RealTek sound manager won't allow me to change the setting from 2 CH to 5.1 CH.

Everything is plugged in correctly and all the speakers definitely work, but I just seem to be having a problem getting the zepto to notice all speakers. I read somewhere about a digital output signal which might need to be triggered, but I've no idea how.

Any ideas on what the problem could be?

hi there. I noticed a while ago that the realtek sound manager wont allow anymore than two channels, I assume its something to do with the driver. I have the optical cable linked to a creative ddts-100 decoder, which gives me the option upmix the sound to 5.1

if i were you i would play a 5.1 enable dvd movie and play it with the "Cyberlink PowerDVD" that came with the laptop. When playing the movie right click the screen and goto configuration, then to the audio tab and select "use SPDIF".

See if sound comes out of all speakers or if there is any change on the little volume thing that came with yor speakers and report back!

    Hey dude,

Yeah, I just update drivers and played and everything is working fine. RealTek still displays 2CH, but it plays out of all my speakers so not a problem. RealTek just sucks I guess.

    Thanks for the help,
