I purchased a 6100 last week and right away I formatted the hard drive and put XP Pro on it. I installed all of the drivers from the recovery cd, but I can't get my wireless LAN connection back. It is not in the device manager and there is a device under "Other Devices" called "Network Controller" that does not have a driver installed. I cannot find this driver anywhere. I don't know if I have to install the drivers in a certain order or what. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

I got my wireless drivers from windows update after i formatted and installed windows but you could also use the drivers from ralink:

    http://www.ralinktech.com/supp-1.htm

or download the wireless drivers from averatec:

    http://www.averatec.com/customercare/6100dl.htm

Most people have found that the ralink drivers work better than the one from averatec, but try one out and if it works then great and if it doesnt then try the others!

    Hope that helps!

use the ones direct from ralink tech (11g version), they work the best, windows update just gives you the driver, ralink gives you a config utility as well. The ones from averatec dont even work, when i played with them, i had lots of trouble with them.

Also, are you turning the card on? there is a switch next to the power button which directly controls the wireless card on/off state. If the card is on, the button next to the power button will be lit up.
