I will need to know more specifics upin which 6100 series you have
Averatec came out with 2 different versions with 2 diferent concepts

AV6128H, AV6130HS AV6130HX is all the same concept.

now the AV6110 is a completely different concept with a known issue with the wireless antenna.

The wireless antenna wraps around the LCD and the issue that is know by averatec is that when the LCD lid is shut it somehow crimps the wire thus ultimately damaging the wireless antenna.

This issue is covered by the warranty and should have been corrected.

Ralink and Broadcom Wireless cards in my opinion are a piece of crap but to each their own.

there is no HX version. its 6128h1, 6130h1, and 6130hs

Plus i have had no really problem with the ralink card in my 6130hs. It seems to be hit and miss for some people with ralink.
