How is others screen backs doing crackwise. Mine is cracking from use pretty good and now a small chunk has come out the side. I also believe that (unless its windows) it may be starting to affect the working of the screen. Once when i logged on, the screen started fading to a golden color, then turned white and i couldn't see anything. luckily pressing the power button once shut it down. Worked after restart. A couple of times when booting up, i think once from full shutdown, and once from hibernation, it starts normally, and i see the averatec screen, and go on to other things at the moment, but once i look back the screen is blank and presssing the power button doesn't seem to do anything and i have to hold it to force it off and then it turns back on fine. Has anyone else had this problem? How big of a crack do you have if you have one? I have had this notebook since Sept 2004, and i haven't been rough with it. Any thougts anyone?

Can you get a picture of the back of your screen ? I would like to see how and where it cracked. Mine has no crack problem, 2 months old.

I bought my 6130hs in september of 2004 too and mine has no crack in the back. I know that in order to fix it you have to take out all of your components and buy a new case for it. If you bought a service plan for it just back up everything on your hd to dvd and take it back. Buy a shell with a titanium case that will fit all the notebook components inside.
