I just got a pair of 6200s free from a guy at work. One of them was basically torn apart for parts, he said something was wrong with the power connector *shrug*. Supposedly, the other one had a bad BIOS chip, and all it needed was to be swapped in from the parts machine *'nother shrug*. Anyways, what happens is when you push the power button, the fans kick on, and the lights light up, but the screen doesn't power on, and the backlight doesn't kick on. Aftre about five seconds, give or take, it goes into what appears to be "Suspend" or "Sleep" mode, where the little moon light flashes and the battery light stays on. I tried pulling the CMOS battery for five minutes, and tried swapping BIOS chips with the other, and no dice.

Try the stand alone DVD player. If it doesn't work, this motherboard is defective.
Or use external monitor to verify that video is working.
