Would anyone who has a 6214W be kind enough to accurately measure and weigh their notebook for me? I am generally a bit mistrustful of manufacturer's dimensions (especially weights) and the review on this site doesn't actually list dimensions. I am especially interested in the thickness of the unit as I am quite space constrained.

    Many thanks.

The closed 6214 is 340mm wide, 245mm front to back and 40mm thick.

    I hope that helps.

can't weigh it at the moment.

Thanks very much - not quite the 25mm that Zepto claim....but still plenty thin.

A claim of 25mm is definitely a stretch. The 40mm is at the back end, which includes the rubber-feet of approx 5mm. The slightly thinner front measures 30mm where the rubber-feet is approx 2mm. The slit between the base and lid is 1 mm at the most, so it would take "some force" to get it down to 25mm.

Yes, probably not the sort of force I would want to be using on a new laptop!!!

^^ hey thats cheating he wanted it from someone who had weighed it not the manufacturer ;)

Edit: my kitchen scales top out at 2kg and it goes just over that so 2.35 is probably accurate anyway
