Got them from zeptoforum.com
looks nice? I think the left one is the real thing and the right one the sample.

Also the drivers for the 6224W and 6625WD are online:

You are correct.
The 6625WD drivers are not online yet, though.
I've only made the FTP ready for the drivers for the new machines. As we haven't actually received the 6625WD's yet, we don't know if the drivers are different from the 6224/6324W. But yes the 6224/6324W driver has indeed been uploaded
-
Nice! It certainly looks the business. Can't wait for my white one with black keyboard...
-
The 6624W screen is obviously matte. Does it have a 'hard cover' to it like a gloss screen or is it a bit soft like the old laptop screens used to be? i.e. get a slight 'shadow' in it when you touch the screen?
Matt -
I feel like a leper for even asking - but has anyone seen any benchmarks for the released 6224 yet?
Petrov. -
Nope.
But the first few people will get their laptop today/tomorrow latest. Keep your eye on zeptoforum.com. If I see something interesting I will try to translate it and bring it over here too. -
Wave...Very kind thanks
-
Good man, you're an invaluable asset around here my friend.
-
No benchmarks or anything yet but 2 people have confirmed that their 6224W has arrived.
-
I've been informed that my 2 are being built & tested as we speak and should ship today... I think a nice review may be on the cards.
Ooooh can't wait!
-
More pictures with the screen on (again left one real thing and right one the sample):
-
Is it me or does the preproduction version look like it's got a brighter screen?
-
it is hard to tell because of the different backgrounds. Also the resolution is not the same i think. On the left one the icons look huge.
-
On closer inspection you could be right there Wave... I think the brightness could be slightly dimmed too due to it running on battery, as I can't see any power cables etc. What do you think?
Peter -
I thought that 6224W had a glossy screen, but with a anti-reflective (matte) film. That would look like the beta version doesn't have it, but the real thing has.
-
The Left is the 6224W Notebook from Customer, i send out today, it is real the Final TFT. All Resolutions are the same.
Regards -
Can those pics be of a 1440x900 resolution display? The left one escpecially looks to be a lower res than that. Maybe my eyes are tricking me though.
-
That can't be the 1440 x 900. I have the same sized screen with 1280 x 800 and i have ten icons stacked in a linear line, whereas the left laptop in the picture has only eight?!?
-
That's what I thought Thorne. As a rough guestimate, I make it only about 650 pixels vertically..
-
Booth Models, have same Resolution . Booth have 1440x900 Pix.
-
That may be the supposed to-use-resolution, but the left one's screen definately ain't running with it, IN THE PICTURE.
-
Damn, booth run in real WXGA+ Resolution. How makes the Pics? You, ore me?
-
I dun like the "Dell notebook Bumper"
-
Well then, if you're so shure, how do explain the number of icons i described in one of my previous posts in this thread??
-
Rene S - Zepto Company Representative
Thorne, are you running Windows Vista on yours?
-
The number of icons in the display all depends on various Windows settings such as "large icons" and a different dpi setting etc. It may well be running at the higher resolution. Unless there's a shot of it with the display options dialogue box open there is no way of knowing for sure, even then you could adjust it without applying it. So really, and this is in my opinion of course, it's impossible to tell from a photo.
*edit* unless of course you start measuring the task bar heights in various resolutions to see what % of the screen they take up. Even then it's guesswork from a photo. -
Nope, i'm not running Vista. Don't tell me it has larger icons?
-
Can't you go lower than the native resolution..?
-
Rene S - Zepto Company Representative
Yes, Vista has much larger desktop icons by default than Windows XP
-
-
Just beautiful
-
From what I've read, the reports are very good, the comments are positive. I want mine so I can use it, and give you monkeys (joke) a full on review.
photos look great. -
I know lots of people prefer matte but I prefer glossy as my eyes don't seem to focus on the reflections and I find the colours so much clearer. Guess I'll have to see what the screen is like when my machine arrives. Shame there are no test machines to view/visit. Would be nice to have the option of matte or glossy in the configurator.
Matt -
THe matt 14.1 on the 6224 is very good, I use to have a glossy tosh, the tosh looks better switched off but the Zepto works better. I love glossy but matt is so much more practical in light.

A whole bunch of new pictures, made by myself:
