    Hi all,

I have a 2,5 year old Zepto 6224W. Until two days ago it had been working fine but then the following happened:

*) It cannot run on just DC power without the battery. When I pressed the on button it seems to light up for a second (power LEDs light up and drive etc. get´s power), but then it immediately gives up and dies (no Bios is reached just the LEDs for a second and then it dies).

*) Running on just battery seems to work fine as long as the battery is charged of course.

*) Running on DC power with the battery installed gives a really funny behaviour. Basically it seems to to be able to run and charge the battery for a second and then gives up to just battery, but then again it tries again, so every second it alternates between DC and battery leading to the screen flickering and the battery not really charging.

Firstly, I was sure it was the power converter that had failed, however after buying a new one the problem persists so I assume it´s an internal power delivery problem.

Has anyone enountered a similar problem, or does anyone know of any fix or repair method for the issue?

    Thanks,

    curry

It's funny, i bought a broken Nox A15 (on purpose) for almost no money which had same problem. Although when i put in DC it just blinked all the leds without starting anything in the PC itself. On a charged battery it worked fine.

I sent it to repairs at some shop, and for a bunch of money they fixed it, (supposedly, since i havent gotten it home just yet) and he said it was because there was a part of the mobo that has burnt down because of a short-circuit, or what it is is called. Im afraid your might be something alike.
