Moon Angel felt the need to close the thread after getting her last word in, but i have some points to add.
People already asked you for your thoughts and reply was..
I can write a full review in under 2 hours, as can most people in here. Despite this, if i did write a review, it would not take me 5 week to post it. If it did and people asked for some preview i would give it to them and not hold out.
Obviously, but im not the only one thinking these points, im just the only one writing it up and bringing attention to it.
If you were making nbr a priority then i could understand that comment, but seeing as "you all have lies", with graduations, birthdays, weddings, etc etc then its obvious you shouldnt be getting paid for it. Even if you were getting paid, what would you be getting paid for? No other posters get paid on here. If you think you should get paid for your "moderating" which means being very authoritarian and closing down posts as to not allow other people to have a say, thats hardly "moderating".
Why do you keep saying "we" and "us" in your last post?. Im talking to you not to other people you work with, stop hiding behind your "colleagues" when making points and speak for yourself.
All of my points were honest and valid, but you have taken them very personally and got defensive and emotional over them. If you can point out any of the comments i have made to be untrue then let me know, as far as i can see though im spot on.

I'd just like to say here, I think people are getting on moon angel's case because the review is taking a while to post, she sent it to me nearly 2-weeks ago now and the reason it hasn't been posted is due to editorial restrictions we have and schedules for posting reviews. We have a lot of reviews to post and edit and have to work with manufacturers on timing requirements, we will be posting her review tomorrow. I'm sorry it's taken longer than most would like.

Ok thanks for letting me know. It's nice to get a professional answer from someone to keep people updated.

There, Gi1b0 got his/her review.
To moon angel: nice review, Good work. I can't wait for the review on 6625Wd to get up, but i guess it will be pretty similar.
Questions: What drivers did you use for the graphic card?
And what are those extra thingys in that you got with the laptop. The only thing i got was a cd with drivers and one power cord, it seems, on one of the latter pictures, that you got 3 cords? -
Oh the drama...! ^^ -

Re: 6224W box contents:
1 Zepto Znote 6224W
1 Zepto Windows Vista recovery CD in box
1 Zepto Znote 6224W driver CD
1 UK plug cable
1 European plug cable
1 Transformer and power cable
So: Zepto supply you with one power brick that connects to the laptop and two possible plugs, UK in this case and euro. Both fit into the same power brick. I would anticipate the UK plug cable only being present if the machine is ordered in the UK/specified UK keyboard etc.
Re: drivers, I actually don't know. I have never really used nvidia cards (more from circumstance than preference) and know little of their drivers. No drivers I could install with my current knowlege would improve the laptop any, so I just left them as they were. They seemed to fare very well in games. -

You can update drivers from nvidias website, just keep checking if you feel the need to keep updating, or check the zepto ftp.
Are there a lot of compatibility problems with vista still? -
moon angel Notebook Virtuoso NBR Reviewer
Metamorphical (another moderator) had problems installing Nero Essentials (including express) 7 on her Vista machine, so yes there are still compatability issues there.
-
Hmmm...so thats why zepto are giving it away for free.
Did she get it sorted or not? -
moon angel Notebook Virtuoso NBR Reviewer
Nero Express is worth almost nothing in monetary value. Why not give it away free?
re: sorted, I have no idea. Ask her. -
Great review Moon Angel. Any reason its not on the side menu for this website under "Recent Laptop Reviews"?

Has anyone else had problems installing Nero on their zepto? -

I see that Trusted Reviews has a 6224W review listed under their reviews coming soon.

Heres my quick review of the 6224, it kicks ass. I was worried by all the screen graininess, keyboard, dvd fit etc. but these are all tiny tiny imperfections in what is a damn cool machine, I suppose i am going to be termed a fan boy now but i am glad i took the plunge and got this machine it is sweet.
Do yourself a favour Gi1bo and just buy this little badboy you wont regret it! -
Thats great to hear, Dont think Gi1bo can hear you now though!
-
i am also very very please with my 6224W!
The only thing that concerns me is the flimsy keyboard down in the right corner. How hard is it to remove the keyboard and just put in some stickytape between the keyboard and the optical driver? and will this void my warranty? -
It's surprising they haven't changed the production line to solve the keyboard problems =/.

The keyboard problem has been discussed at some length.
I have already been in and done the fix. Instead of double sized tape I made some loops of single sided tape so that they are easier to pull off if you need to take the keyboard out in the future. The attached photo shows two loops. This wasn't quite enough so I added two more, on the left side of the optical drive.
I informed Zepto of this simple fix to one of the common complaints and suggested they buy a roll of tape for the assembly line. If you have just received your 6224W then I'm disappointed to learn that they haven't implemented this fix.
John
PS: First check that the keyboard is properly seated. The edge should be under some small teeth which are part of the chassis. There's one to the right of PgDn and another below the cursor down.
The keyboard isn't difficult to remove but needs a little care. More advice is available if needed.Attached Files:

I can't decide whether mine has been fixed like that or not. The bottom right corner keys all move up and down slightly when you apply light pressure to the area, and have a noticeable rattle - so I suspose not.
-
@john. ill take a look at my keyboard when i get home from work and see if i can remove it or not. If not ill shout here for a little help.
@saxdave: that's the same thing i got on my keyboard. I recived it 25/7 -
If I were going to do it I would need some guidance, as I'm not in the habit of taking notebooks apart. However I very much doubt I will do, as I can't risk voiding my waranty in any way.

I received my 6024W on 24 July and sent them a photo of the sticky tape fix on the 27th.
Warranty is one of those grey areas I don't loose sleep over. I assume that both parties will be reasonable. If the hinges break then I don't expect the manufacturer / supplier to try to avoid a warranty claim because I had taken the keyboard out. However, if I break the keyboard in the process of taking it out, I would not try to claim a new one under warranty.
[I must resurrect my argument with Samsung because the silver paint is wearing off the keyboard of my X60 plus. Their initial response is that type of problem only has a 90 day warranty. My next argument is that my older Samsung X60's is still fine so the paint on the X60 plus's keyboard has a quality problem and is unfit for the purpose.]

Mmmm, it's a minor annoyance for me that I'm quite happy to live with, so I'd rather not risk it.
-
it feels so cheap and most of all it sounds cheap!
I had a look at it now and try poking around a bit on my keyboard but i didnt want do break it. But no luck in getting the keyboard off yet. i don't know where to begin >_>
I called the zepto support and asked if i could remove the keyboard and put some stickytape between the optical driver and the keyboard and the supportguy said it was ok and i wouldn't void the warranty. But i forgot to ask him how to remove it... So i called again 1 min after i hung up and then the supportline was closed.. I'll call them tomorrow and figure it out. This was the swedish support line. -

first remove three screws underneath with keyboard icon (one is under the memory compartment cover).
Second, with small flat bladed screwdriver work along the front of the keyboard levering it towards the back then lifting up slightly (the keyboard plate goes into the chassis slightly). Lifting the middle of the keyboard slightly will release the clips at the sides. Finally lift the front side clear of the chassis enough to slide the whole keyboard forward a few mm to release the back edge. Then flip the keyboard over and rest it on the palm rest.
On the attached photo you can just see the protrusions on the keyboard plate which clip into the chassis.
[Keyboard removal will be a useful skill in a year or so when you need to clean out the fan, so don't stick it down too well. My loops of tape were about 1cm wide and 2cm long.]

I can translate it if you want, but I think the pictures will speak for themselves! -
thanks alot for the detailed information John. Gonna try it out when i get home!
and thanks for the pics CLB-NL -
Pff I've tried to translate it but al that terms are pfff difficult:
1. Get the battery out of the laptop, even as the two screws in the red cirkels! (image 1)
2. Than you have to go to the Ram-modules, there are three screws underneath it. (image 2)
3. Now the keyboard-bottom is loose, turn the laptop upside down.
4. Push the keyboard (with little power) to above (with a little screwdriver/ your nails) (image 3)
If that worked it looked like this: (image 4)
6. The red cirkel gives a look of the connection of the keyboard-cable.
7. Push the brown-coloured 'klemmen' --> [Don't know the translation] to above (with little power)
8. The keyboard-cable has to fit well in the fitting, otherwise the keyboard won't function properly!
Now you have to do it again, put from step 8 till step 1
Push the keyboard with the 'palletjes' till you here a few clicks! (above)
Do this with a little pressure, not too much offcourse!
Than you have to put the keyboard in the holes on the other side (beneath)
You have to push the corners of the keyboard to the touchpad.
You will here a couple of clicks, that's fine!
And here you can find the image: http://forum.notebookreview.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=9146&d=1186729752 -
thankyou for the translation mr CLB-NL <3
