last night some of the buttons on my keyboard just stopped working!
i dont know why or how, they just stopped

for example, the spacebar, enter, right shift, b, and n buttons dont work
all of the other letter keys and left shift do though!!

    how can i fix this?
    what happened??

i had overheating problems before, but dont know if they are related

If you remove the keyboard and re-seat the ribbon cable, that might help, it's happened to me before.

I agree that the ribbon cable connector is the first suspect.

I haven't got as far as removing the ribbon cable, but the preceding steps are to (i) turn off, disconnect power, remove battery; (ii) turn over and remove the screws with the keyboard symbol (one is inside the RAM compartment); (iii) turn right way up and open the display then work round the edge of the keyboard with a small screwdriver to unclip the edges; (iv) turn keyboard over (back edge towards the front of computer) and then unlatching the ribbon cable.

There are various threads about keyboard removal, including my thread about installing turbo memory. I recall someone posted a link to a Zepto support document. Search this forum.
