    Hi,

Wondered if someone could tell me if the screens on these laptops are glossey or matte or somewhere between the two? The sight say they are ultra crisp? What i wondered is how they compare to say a Sony vaio or HP laptop screen etc. What are the colours like etc.

Maybe, it is matte for sure..I think it is confusing to call them ultra crisp screens. If you have any other questions you can always email me [email protected]

I attach a photo of the 6024W between the Samsung Q35 and the Samsung X60 plus. All were on full brightness and the 6024W has the brightest display, which is a good start. The colours seem good and the contrast is good. Mine is the CMO 1430. Zepto also use a Samsung panel. I don't know if there are any significant differences.

Compared with a glossy display, the 6x24W's display has a slightly grainy texture which, I think, is a result of the matte coating. One of the benefits of a glossy display is that there is no coating to reduce the sharpness. However, the key benefit of the matte display is the avoidance of reflections which can be an annoying problem with glossy displays. A few days ago I was using my 6024W with my back to a window and had no problems. I suspect that with a glossy display I would have been looking for another seat.

"Glossy" screen is the ones that are called "Crystal Clear" on our websites.

"Ultra Crisp" just means that it's a higher quality screen with high resolution, it has nothing to do with the screen being "glossy" or not

Maybe "grainy" isn't the right word. I don't think it is the same graininess problem which has troubled some other notebooks. It is more a case of the matte finish does slightly reduce the sharpness compared to a glossy display.

If the Zepto notebook ticks all the other right boxes then I wouldn't let the display put you off. It is very usable.

Aside from trying to find out if you live close enough to an owner of a similar model so you can pop round and have a look, I believe you can send it back within 2? weeks if it isn't to your liking (but I suspect that you may have to pay the shipping charge).

Yeah i could send back though i doubt very much i would want too. I am starting to look into the 15" model now too the dimensions and weight look pretty good need to do some comparrisons. I am not really going to be taking it anywhere so 15" might do the job, and i think one of the 6625WD comes with a glossy screen. I like the size and style of smaller laptops but that is the only reason i look at 14" ones. Thanks for your help
