Have you tried unplugging the power, and plugging it in again?
Also have you tried a reboot? -
i have read on forums that a lot of old labtops could adjust the brightnes from bios setup but ... i cant ..

ok i tried going to the power options and resetting my current setting and that made it back to default .. but its still a bit to dark .. my problem is solvedish but would still apreciate if anyone knew a way to make i brighter without the f5 button

Problem is that the fn+xx keys are often hardware wired and cant be controlled with any software. And if the BIOS cant do anything about it you got a problem :/
