    6324 backlight reset?

    hello my name is frej and i own a 6324 great machine everything is perfect. but recently i broke my keyboard on it with water. some of the buttons slowly started working again . vry sad but i have until now used an external usb keyboard because i cant affort to repair it right now. earlier today i turned down the backlight by accident to a minimum with the fn and the f4 button on my labtop keyboard but then when i wanted to turn up the backlight again i discovered that my f5 button wich is used to turn up the brightness didnt work and that you couldnt use the usb keyboard for such... so ... im f***** can barely c whats going on.. and i really want it so i can make my homework 4 2night... and the support from zepto is sooo sloooow.. so can u like.. reset it the backlight or maybe the bios ? or access it from vista? please help :confused:

    Have you tried unplugging the power, and plugging it in again?

    Also have you tried a reboot?

    yes i am afraid i have tried both... altso tried hammering abit in my keyboard in desparation XDD and now i am sitting on my acer aspire 1 netbook with linux and i am really missing age of conan :p i have read on forums that a lot of old labtops could adjust the brightnes from bios setup but ... i cant ..

    ok i tried going to the power options and resetting my current setting and that made it back to default .. but its still a bit to dark .. my problem is solvedish but would still apreciate if anyone knew a way to make i brighter without the f5 button

    Problem is that the fn+xx keys are often hardware wired and cant be controlled with any software. And if the BIOS cant do anything about it you got a problem :/
