    Good day everybody,

My Averatec 6500 have a trouble as follows:

When I install graphic card Ati catalyst Mobility X700, display become dark, I can't see anything, even monitor out from laptop still dark.

When Graphic card is still install in my laptop but i didn't setup it, picture become normal, of course picture is not nice.

Question: My graphic card Ati was broken ?
This graphic card can take out easy because it is separate card, it use slot.

Some time I install again this card and it is become OK a few minutes then dark again.

Please tell me how to solve?

    Thanks in advance

While I am not familiar with the 6500, I do have one question...

Before inserting the ATI graphics card, did you go into the BIOS settings and look for an option to tell the computer that you intended to use a different graphics adapter?

I can't go to BIOS to setting if I take out ATI graphic card. It seem everything picture must via this graphic card.
    Anything else comment ?
    Thank you.

The graphics card runs on the dedicated PCI-Express bus, and is required for the unit to provide video.

What you are describing is GPU BGA failure. You'll either need the GPU BGA reflowed (requires special equipment) or you'll need to replace the graphics card.
