I have no idea why this is, but I brought my Zepto in to be configured for the college wireless network. The settings were all right, but no matter what they did, I got a THIS CONNECTION HAS LIMITED OR NO CONNECTIVITY. I hadn't had problems connecting to wireless networks before that.

And now my Wired LAN capabilities are seriously failing. Every hour or so i have to reboot - the network card just stops responding, no matter what I do. I've tried using another totally unrelated connection but same thing, I have to reboot. This is immensely annoying as it means I can't download large files.

It seems to me this must be a software networking issue. What can I do?

try downloading and installing the latest drivers from your official support website for the wireless card
if your router is far off try bringing them closer or try reseting the frequency

Nope, no difference. Now the device has disappeared completely, right drivers and all.

well if it has dissapered roll back the drivers using the roll back option in device manger
you could also try dissabling WPA if it is enabled

    Where do I disable WPA?

This Zepto has been nothing but driver **** up after driver **** up. I wouldn't really recommend it to anyone.

I'm having the exact same problem the past weeks with my wired connection and I came here looking for solutions.

After having some trouble with disappearing internet, the ethernet drivers have completely uninstalled themselves for some reason, and even when I install the drivers on the ftp or the cd, nothing happens. Does anyone know what networking card the 6615 has?

So both Wlan and Lan ain't working?

Have you tried using both in different locations?

I assume you're using XP, if so, try doing a fresh reinstall of it with the latest drivers from zepto ftp. If that fails, phone your local Zepto representative. They should take care of it.

Doing a fresh install means reformatting though doesn't it?

It seems me and Kittie have the same problem with LAN. I had this problem on XP 64-bit at first, and after loads of hard work I chose to switch back to 32-bits again, which I had no problems with last time I ran it. No success.

I believe it's something with the newer drivers as that is all I can think of. It might also be BIOS since I flashed it a few weeks ago. I did not have this problem when I first got my computer.

It seems to be a common occurance with Realtek cards especially when you have an NVidia GFX card. Not sure why.

If they'd ****ing let me set the IRQs in the BIOS it might not be a problem.

I just called Zepto support and they said this is a known problem with the 1.10 bios. Reverting to 1.09 will fix it.

    I'll return with the results.

How do I install the new bios? Do I just burn the ISO straight to CD or is there some other trick to it.

Words cannot describe how absolutely little changing the BIOS did.

NOTHING has changed. The card STILL Refuses to show up NO MATTER WHAT.

This is bull****, and Zepto still haven't replied to my emails. I've lost a good 3 days of my life trying to get this to work that I'll never get back.

Also, everytime Windows boots, I get a message telling me it's found an UNKNOWN PCI DEVICE.

No matter what, it REFUSES to accept or even consider the Realtek drivers.

I have no ****ing idea what's going on.

Baserk, I may have a solution.

You can get a USB to Ethernet adaptor for quite cheap these days. Of course this means the network card will be emulated as opposed to hardware I presume, but I doubt it'll make much different.
