I've had my 6615WD for a couple of weeks now, and finally buggering on to my webcam. The issue seems to be, I can't seem to locate it. Neither Windows (XP Pro here) System Information nor Device Mananger seem to find it, and Everest can't find it either. Well, at least I didn't find it with any of those. I did install the drivers, but running it results in "You have no video capture hardware installed". I am staring at the camera right there on top of the view, and it does physically appear to exist (the little switch right of it does nothing it seems; the main button doesnt cut it either), but it doesn't react in any fashion.

    Any clue?

    Hey there.

Have you pressed the Webcam button just above the keyboard in the middle.
It has to light up (yellow/orange). It activates and deactivates the webcam.

    Cheers

It adjusts the camera angle manually. Just look at the lense while moving the lever.

Yeah, it does turn orange but it doesn't make any difference. The driver program still claims there's no hardware installed, and for some reason Windows doesn't locate it. It's probably in the Windows end, wonder if I should just try clean up the drivers, reinstall them, and try again. Unless there's any better ideas, I'll do that once I hit home.

Very strange indeed. Removed the drivers, reinstalled, and strolled through the windows hardware adding program a bit. It's now there, and works, I just have no clue how it didn't originally work. I had a bit similar problem with the ethernet disappearing, but everything seems to work smooth now.

Glad to hear your problem has been worked out. Sometimes installs get corrupted or problems occur.
